Our client, a major foreign bank with a diversified global portfolio, is seeking a suitable candidate to join their Financial Institutional (FI) Sales team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Works both independently, and within a client team, to achieve revenue goals for institutional sales business, in accordance with business objectives, client needs and trading limits
  2. Systematically target institutional entities to generate leads for bulk sales
  3. Follow-up with active leads, create samples and quotes for the leads to close the sale
  4. Be the single point of contact for the client and establish trust to provide consultative sales and earn long term business from the client
  5. Assist clients with developing effective solutions for their needs
  6. Identify greenfield opportunities with current clients and prospects
  7. Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to devise plans for generating qualified leads across the Asian region

Key Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in investment funds, private equity firms, venture capital or business development
  • University degree in finance, business administration or related; an MBA or CFA is a plus
  • Strong networks with relevant decision makers within the financial industry, especially from the institutional buy-side
  • Experience in working with internal and external investment stakeholders
  • Able to withstand various sales cycle periods
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Experience in preparation of various types of presentation material
  • Strong analytical skills and “hands-on” mentality
  • Able to deal confidently with tight deadlines
  • Experience in analysis and negotiation of legal documents would be an advantage
  • Availability for international travel
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Confident at all decision-making levels with clear professional and personal goals
  • Communicates very well and ensures constant flow of information
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Innovative spirit and strategic thinking
